cognitive behavior therapy
Cognitive behavior therapy, or CBT, is a type of therapy treatment used to treat patients of all ages who may suffer from a variety of problems including anxiety disorders, addiction, depression, and other mental health problems. The treatment is very effective when continuous and is known to improve the patients’ quality of life.
CBT focuses on the intertwined relationship between thought, behavior, and emotion. It works on changing the way that patients think to replace negative thoughts with positive thoughts to help them cope with long-term problems and daily stressors. By acknowledging their unhealthy thoughts and behaviors and the impact on their emotions that they have, patients learn ways to better manage their problems.
